Unsuspecting Hero's

“Unsuspecting Hero’s”

The Coronavirus pandemic has been a tragic experience for many of us, but in this time of crisis we can be thankful, as we see citizens helping citizens with amazing acts of kindness.

Kindness that goes far beyond what we ever could have imagined before this terrible disease hit our shores.

It’s been so gratifying to see so many unsuspecting hero’s risking their own lives to help others in need by having tremendous courage in the face of tremendous risk and simply doing their job.

Please join me in thanking a long list of people that make it their top priority to protect us each and every day and make sure we have all the food and services we need to be well and be safe.

THANK YOU GOES OUT TO OUR:

Health Care Workers, First Responders, Police, Firefighters, National Guard, Food Bank Volunteers, Grocery Store Clerks and Produce Workers, Garbage Collectors, Landscapers and Lawn Care workers, Postal Workers, Restaurant Workers, Farmers, Migrant Workers, Construction Crews, Road Repair Workers, Federal, State, County and City employees.

You are all amazing and the citizens of this country owe you a debt of gratitude.

Thank you for all you do!

Support Your Local Food Banks

It is just as important to do nothing and stay home during this time of the Coronavirus outbreak to protect yourself and others, but for those of you who are in good health without preexisting conditions, you may want to go all in and support your local food banks.

With so many people out of work, the food banks in your community are now your first responders working on the front lines to help feed those in need. Most food banks have seen a 500% increase or more in requests for food in the last few weeks, with more and more requests to come from our nation unemployed and growing each day.

For those of you who have the means and are looking for ways to help, please support your local food banks by volunteering to sort donated food that will ultimately be sent out to help others or consider donating money to support the urgent need to feed our hungry in our communities.
