If you’re in the mood for a change of pace for your next travel experience,
you may want to take a hard look at going on a snowmobile trip along the
Continental Divide and the great outdoors of Wyoming with Old Faithful Tours.
Owner, Jon Toolson and his dad Tom will take you on an amazing adventure of
a lifetime. Ten of us departed from
Jackson Hole in a private group. We took the 3 day snowmobiling trip option,
which offers a world class guided tour around the greater Yellowstone area and
Wyoming mountains. Each of us had our
own snowmobile and drove along groomed paths that are created each day by the
forest service. We also took some wild
turns along some off beaten paths to experience fresh powder.
Included, are 2 nights in very comfortable lodges that had cozy fireplaces
and all the comforts of home. In addition, we experienced some very fun and
relaxing bars, where we had a few drinks before dinner after a fun day of
exploring the wide-open terrain.
Also, included in the price was a culinary feast, as each day we had delicious
breakfast, lunches and dinners at restaurants that are located along our route.
Old Faithful Tours offers several other trip options.Their snowmobile trip through Yellowstone is their
most popular tour.
If you want a change a pace, you may want to give it a try and put it on
your bucket list for your upcoming travels.
I just
visited my doctor last week to review my blood test results and I was delighted
to hear him tell that my test results were “The best results he has seen for a
65 year old in the 90 days”. He told me that whatever I was doing was showing amazing
results and I should keep doing what I am doing.
The
doctor was very complementary about how good I looked for my age and said, my
blood test results were as good as most 30 year old males he has as patients.
He then suggested I write a blog to help others who are looking to live
healthier lives and working to get into better physical condition.
So here
goes…
The first
suggestion I would make would be to move and be active each and every day.I make it a habit to for a run, ride a bike, play
tennis or golf, lift weights and stretch as well as swim during the course of
the week.You may have physical
limitations that prevent you from doing some of these activities, so maybe a
good walk, stretch, swim etc. would suffice, if you want to get the blood
flowing. A great book to read on this very topic is “Younger Next Year” which I
highly recommend.
I also
take several different vitamins, CoQ10, aspirin, a statin and a Probiotic every
day to keep my body functioning properly and keep it from wearing down.My diet consists of daily fasting 2 or 3
times a week followed with a Mediterranean diet.Daily meditation can be helpful.I find “The Sedona Method” of meditation to
be very practical and rewarding. It’s also easy to maintain on a weekly
basis. The book of the same name is worth
a read.
I hope
you can use some of these suggestions in your daily schedule to help feel
healthy each day and I hope to provide more useful tips in the days and weeks
ahead.
