Support Your Local Food Banks

It is just as important to do nothing and stay home during this time of the Coronavirus outbreak to protect yourself and others, but for those of you who are in good health without preexisting conditions, you may want to go all in and support your local food banks.

With so many people out of work, the food banks in your community are now your first responders working on the front lines to help feed those in need. Most food banks have seen a 500% increase or more in requests for food in the last few weeks, with more and more requests to come from our nation unemployed and growing each day.

For those of you who have the means and are looking for ways to help, please support your local food banks by volunteering to sort donated food that will ultimately be sent out to help others or consider donating money to support the urgent need to feed our hungry in our communities.

Random Acts of Kindness

Random Acts of Kindness

We all are a bit in shock after last week’s recent events unfolded to better guard against the spread of the Corona Virus. I’m sure there are many people who are angry, disturbed and scared about the changes that have occurred.

Well, not so fast my friend…

Why don’t we all take a step back and use this crisis as an opportunity to spread “Random Acts of Kindness” out to our community instead of a severe case of airborne flu.

There are and will be many people negatively impacted by the illness as well as others impacted by the nationwide cancellations of conventions, sporting events, trade shows, festivals, etc. and now is a good time to act and support those in need.

Instead of looking inward and feeling sorry about your life-style changes, look outward and see if you can do something wonderful to help your community and make a real difference in helping others in need.

There are plenty of food and supplies needed at our local food banks as more people are put out of work from this virus and will need your help.

Also, our teams of First Responders and Health Care professionals would appreciate any support we can give them at this challenging time. There are many other charities that we can actively support to see if they need have any need of our manpower or donations to help them weather the storm.

The work “Crisis” in Greek means opportunity and now is a great time to step up and make a difference with “Random Acts of Kindness”
